After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park(approx 05 hrs). Chitwan National Park has long been one the country’ treasures of natural wonders. The park is situated in south central Nepal, covering 932 sq. km. in the subtropical lowlands of the inner TERAI. The park consists of a diversity of ecosystems, including the Churia hills, ox-bow lakes and the flood plains of the Rapti, Reu and Narayani rivers.Chitwan is famous for Gharial Breeding Center, Kasara 1Km. After breakfast visit Lumbini Garden, Shanti Stupa, Ashokan Pillar – an inscribed pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka (249 BC) on the spot of Buddha’s birth. The inscription, which is the oldest in Nepal, grants Lumbini a tax-free status in honor of Buddha’s birth, Buddhist Temples – there are foundations of temples dating from the 2nd century BC to the 9th century AD, and two modern temples: one in Tibetan style, the Dharma Swami Maharaja Buddha Temple, which was built by the king of Mustang, and one Nepalese Theravada style building, the Lumbini Buddha Vihar, which was built by the Nepalese government and contains Tibetan-style frescoes and Newari-style Buddhist images. After breakfast drive to Pokhara. The Valley of lakes”, linked by prithvi rajmarg is situated 200Kms south west of Kathmandu. The scenic valley of Pokhara is an enormous sunlit playground covered by green frosted hills, waterfalls, terraced fields. The beauty of the valley at 900m is further enhanced by its three lakes Phewa, Begnas and Rupa. Pokhara also offers excellent views of Dhaulagiri, Himalchuli, the five peaks of Annapurna and Machapuchare.
